Can you try to find the following folder (on phone or external sdcard): /storage/emulated/0/VRTourviewer/
That's the location VR Tourviewer thinks is your sdcard for an S7.

If it exists, there should be a log.txt file, can you email me that file?
You could copy your tours to that location to test the storage menu item.

I'll still have to figure out a way to detect the S7 external SD card though... but that's a bit hard without the actual thing.

It looks like the location to store tours on the external SD card is the following:

For Galaxy S7/Edge: Android/data/com.vrtourviewer.vrtourviewer/files/VRTourviewer

The Galaxy S6/Edge doesn't have an external SD card, the location for tours here is on the root of the 'Phone', in a folder 'VRTourviewer'. From the phone also accessible as /mnt/sdcard/VRTourviewer.

The folder 'VRTourviewer' on these locations are created by the app, so you don't have to make them yourself. Just run the app at least once and then find the 'VRTourviewer' (case sensitive) folder. It should also contain a file 'log.txt' with the debug log.

You can copy your tours to the 'VRTourviewer' folder. Feel free to use subfolders to organize them, there's no special filename convention, the entire folder 'VRTourviewer' will be searched for valid tour xml files. Up to 9 tours will be displayed in the 'Storage' menu of the app.

As mentioned before I haven't been able to test this myself because I don't have an S7 here at the moment.
So please let me know if it works for you.

OK.. So I have tried putting the tour in the following..
-  For Galaxy S7/Edge:
Android/data/com.vrtourviewer.vrtourviewer/files/VRTourviewer/hbtour  (the last two folders I created)
Android/data/com.vrtourviewer.vrtourviewer/files/VRTourviewer  (tour files just dropped into this.. again created the last folder
Android/data/com.vrtourviewer.vrtourviewer/files/   (tour files dropped direct into this one)

..And when I go to offline storage I still just get the instruction page with old instructions. No sign of the tour

Thanks for trying and providing feedback!
So I understand correctly that the path 'Android/data/com.vrtourviewer.vrtourviewer/files/' did exist but didn't have a VRTourviewer folder? Was this path on the phone or external sd card?

Can you try the following:

- try to find a similar path on the phone if it was on sd card and vice versa?
- Remove the folders/subfolders you have created yourself
- Run the app once
- Use the File Manager on the phone to search for 'log.txt', it should be in a 'VRTourviewer' folder
- If it's found: that's the folder where you can add your own tours, can you add a tour and try to run it, then send me the log.txt?
- If it's not found: something else is wrong, can you enable the debug log in the app itself by clicking on the nadir and look for errors/messages regarding storage?

Thanks again for your efforts, patience and help, much appreciated!

Anyone else with an S7 or S7 Edge: would be great if you could try the steps in the previous post too and post the results here.

If this issue can't be resolved before Wednesday I'll rent a S7 to be able to do the testing here, but hope to find a solution before that.

OK.. not having much luck at all..
Found a VRTourviewer folder with the log file.. in the phones root directory.  NOT in Android/data/ .......
I added my tour files in a folder hbtour, this time the STORAGE menu item showed an empty screen (no location info this time) I then tried putting the files in this folder without the hbtour folder.. same result

You found the right folder to put the tours in, although it's not on external storage, which should be fixed ofcourse.
But as long as you put tours in that folder they will be found. They will be checked first though, before displaying.

Are you sure the tour(s) you put in the VRTourviewer folder are single res output, and not multiresolution? Multires isn't supported yet. You can see the debug log if you click on the nadir (bottom) of the menu area.

Can you send me the log.txt?

All runs great.. 56 node tour from the phone offline.. will be great to find a way to the SD card at some stage.. Cheers!

Thanks for the feedback, good to hear it runs well!

Access to the external SD card is being worked on, it's trickier than I thought. Hope to have the solution this week.
