Using OGG files in tours

Hi All,

I have video tour (walk thru) in MP4 format that plays fine on my S8+, but not on the Remote viewer.  I saw a reference that MP3 (MP4) files won't play on the viewer just yet due to patent issues.  The post said to convert the MP3 (MP4) file to an OGG file (no problem converting the files).

Is the fix as simple as converting the one MP4 file and replacing it in the phone and on my PC, or is there anything else needed.

Thanks, Tom

Thanks for reporting!

The streaming issue on Windows is only with MP3 files, streaming MP4 should not be a problem.

The 'Featured' tour 'Panoramic video' from Panedia is also using MP4 files. It runs fine on the Windows VR Tourviewer Remote here, does it work for you?

Could you share your tour or a part of it with the video so I can see if I can recreate the issue?

Thanks Ruud,

My mistake, I guess I spent too much time reading the docs, and not enough time "just doing".  I uploaded an MP4 tour and it works great!  The grandkids will be having a great time with our new 'toy' this weekend.

Sorry to bother you.

No problem, glad it's solved.

Have a great weekend!
